Dillon Rhum Blanc 50°: Description and customer reviews

This Dillon white agricultural rum is made with scrupulous respect for theAOC Martinique label. Distilled in the Creole column from locally harvested sugarcane juice, it can be drunk neat, as a ti'punch, or as a planteur z'habitant with fresh fruit juices.

Nico's tasting notes

The nose is highly perfumed, generously herbaceous and roundly peppery. The fermented cane juice expresses notes of vegetables such as celery, carrot, parsnip... The roundness of the juice and cane sugar coat all this with an almost caramelized character.

Aeration gives even more room to the cane sugar, which almost reveals licorice notes of molasses. Citrus fruits enter the dance, as in a ti'punch, with a slight bitterness that perfectly balances the whole.

The palate is nicely peppery and vegetal, with a muscular entry that first thrills the taste buds. This lively rum is delightful, generous and authentic on the palate, with an earthy cane whose peppery bark carries hints of pineapple.

On the finish, the rum takes on a lighter expression, moving towards exotic fruit eaux-de-vie such as lychee, mango and pineapple.

"A rum with character and terroir, the ideal candidate for ti'punch..."

If you like it, we recommend :

  • A white rum as good in ti'punch as it is in tasting...
  • An agricole with character, from the same distillery...
