Duppy Share Spiced Rum 37.5°: Description and customer reviews

Duppy Share Spiced Rum is a spicy variation on Duppy Share rum. This Caribbean blend is composed of rums from Barbados and Jamaica, aged between 3 and 5 years. Fruit (pineapple), ginger, kola nut, a blend of spices and a hint of sugar have been added.

The name of this rum refers to "duppies", spirits that fly from island to island to steal rum evaporating from barrels. On the bottle, you'll find an idea for a cocktail to be made with this spiced rum: the Spiced Ginger Spritz. To make it, you'll need :

- Fill a Highball glass with ice

- Pour in 5cl of Duppy Share Spiced Rum

- Complete with Fever Tree ginger ale

- Garnish with a slice of lime

Enjoy your meal!

Nico's tasting notes

The nose has a very funky, fruity quality that doesn't immediately lead us to spiced rum. Instead, we're in Jamaica, with overripe exotic fruits giving body to our rum. Pineapple juice flatters the nostrils, giving a hint of coconut, then cinnamon and other spices take us almost to the side of cola.

The palate is greedy and colorful, with no impression of sweetness. Spices like cinnamon and clove continue to evoke a cola bordering on cherry, while fresh fruit like pineapple linger in the background.

"A really great spiced rum, light, fruity, fragrant, never sickening..."
