La Mauny Signature du Maître de Chais is a blend of 4 of the House's rums, aged for 3 years in different casks(cognac, bourbon, port and moscatel).
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is a deep, warm gold.
On the nose, it's greedy and complex, with lots going on. Vanilla, fruit, spices, honey... No doubt this complexity comes from the different casks used for ageing.
Lively on the palate. Spicy fruit (including pepper) is still present.
The finish is long, woody and lively. The spices are still there, along with a mineral edge that almost turns to wet wood.
"An aged rum with a singular, complex profile. Rare to have a VO (3 years) to taste neat."

The nose is magnificent. A very pleasant rhum agricole. A cane highlighted in this bottling. There's a hint of sugar in this rum, and a light touch of vanilla. Spices are also present. It's quite pleasant and a certain complexity is apparent in this 3-year-old rum.
On the palate, there's a hint of sweetness (not in the syrupy sense, but rather a gourmand, patissier sweetness). Vanilla and spice are also present. The elevage is most noticeable on the finish.
A medium, woody finish. Spices take center stage.
A very interesting 3-year-old rhum agricole. It lacks power but has complexity.
I recommend it to lovers of agricultural rums who like the spiciness often found in 2-3 year old agricultural rums.
To be drunk neat. The bouquet and palate are pleasant and allow this privilege.

A very well-balanced product that I had the opportunity to taste at a party organized by La Mauny in Paris. A very good reference from the house, without a doubt!
