Millonario 10 Aniversario Cincuenta 50° isquite simply - and powerfully - the smaller version of Millonario 10 Aniversario 40°.
It offers more concentration for cocktails, but can also be enjoyed neat for rum lovers looking for a more potent version.
Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, we are immediately struck by a vegetal concentration. The essence of molasses emerges, aniseed and licorice. There's also a heavy toasted profile, with dark, tenebrous wood.
With aeration, the vegetal side becomes medicinal. Resin and chlorophyll are both fresh and tangy. They then turn into a beeswax encaustic, intriguing but above all very greedy.
On the palate, the 50% is almost imperceptible, as it is immediately balanced by a definite roundness that coats the palate. Vanilla and caramel take over, with our famous encaustic wax in the background. Fortunately, it plays a secondary role, as its intense character would have been difficult to grasp.
The finish is very sweet, softly woody and slightly acidic.

Nothing to say about the sample that was offered with the calendar ordered, reasonable content, apparently my partner appreciated this little extra but he has already tasted it and recommends it.
