HSE Cuvée Federica Matta is an amber rum aged between one year and 18 months in French oak barrels.
It's also a tribute to the Chilean-American artist Federica Matta, who studied in Martinique in the early 1970s.
It is in Martinique, at the HSE winery, that she is exhibiting between December 2016 and September 2017. The exhibition, entitled "Le voyage des imaginaires", features canvases, mobiles and light projections. It's an invitation to travel, just like rum from faraway islands...
It can be drunk neat or as a ti punch.
Tasting notes
