Nikka Days is a blend of peated malts and grain whiskies.
A Nikka best seller!
Tasting notes from Thomas
The nose is unctuous and initially carries sweet, fruity scents (pear, lemon, apricot). Of course, it doesn't restrict itself to this predominantly aromatic family. Its roundness is associated with sweet flowers (honeysuckle, acacia). Butterscotch, lightly smoked wood and malt soon make their appearance, without overshadowing the sweetness of the nose.
The palate seems more contrasted. The sweet ambience is still there: pear, vanilla, lemon. However, the white flowers are a little less round (carnation) and are associated with other flavors. The second part of the palate tends towards milk caramel, dried fruit and a hint of smoky wood (really subtle).
The finish restores the combination of fruit and white sugar, while retaining a few notes of dried fruit and smoky wood. A clearly sweet note remains on the palate.
" A whisky thatwilldelight lovers of sweet, fruity accents...".
