Charrette rum is Réunion's most popular rum brand.
Its traditional white rum at 49° is the best-selling. It is widely used locally for making arranged rums, but it is also consumed as is. 80% of production (more than 4 million liters) is sold on Reunion Island.
The brand is owned by Reunion-based Chatel, which was acquired from Martiniquaise in 2012. Read less
