The brand's name comes from its British founder, Lehman Hart, born in 1768.

His grandfather, Abraham Hart, had already started importing Caribbean rums to England... Read more

The brand's name comes from its British founder, Lehman Hart, born in 1768.

His grandfather, Abraham Hart, had already started importing Caribbean rums to England.

Lehman transformed the family business by blending the finest rums of the day, mainly from the Demerara region of British Guiana. He became a supplier to the Royal Navy.

Since 2010, Canadian company Mosaiq Inc. has acquired the brand from Pernod Ricard, and today Lemon Hart rums are sourced in Guyana and distilled from the Diamond distillery's wooden stills. Read less
