The history of the Smith & Cross brand dates back to 1788. It is one of England's oldest producers of sugar and spirits: in fact, at the end of the 18th century, the company had a sugar refinery on the London docks.
The firm in its present form is the result of the merger of Smith and Tyers and White Cross, which have operated side by side over the generations.

Today, Smith & Cross is a marketer of Jamaican rums designed in the purest tradition of the former English colonies. Smith & Cross rum comes from the stills of the Hayman distillery, which also produces gin and liqueurs.
