AllPossibleDaiquiris is a range of ready-to-drink daiquiris.
This range offers several versions of this cocktail, discovered in Cuba by Ernest Hemingway at the beginning of the 20th century and composed of rum, lime juice and cane syrup.
The Italian Verso workshop, founded by two expert mixologists with a passion for rum, assembles the high-quality organic products and bottles the three recipes #thewilddaiquiri, #thefunkydaiquiri and #thelostdaiquiri.
For this first "#thewilddaiquiri", we're heading for the island of Hispaniola, to Haiti. The rum used is none other than Clairin Communal, a blend of Sajous, Vaval, Casimir and Le Rocher clairins.
This cocktail is consumed chilled, at around 4°C.
Yoann's tasting notes
The nose of this daiquiri is clear, clean and precise. The lemon notes take the front; they are candied, round, sweet and pleasant. We can appreciate the zest of a lime associated with the freshness of the communal clairin cane.
With aeration, the nose becomes more vegetal and herbaceous. At times, one has the impression of smelling the presence of a vegetarian chili pepper placed on the kitchen counter. The sugar cane seems lightly roasted.
The mouth is soft and very slightly lemony at first. This cocktail is fluid and coats the palate with its freshness. The herbaceous notes are light but very present. The lime juice cut by its acidity takes more and more place in the tasting.
The finish is medium long and carried by notes specific to clairin, covered with a lemony veil.
