Passiflora Edulis - Vanille arranged rum is produced in the Arhumatic workshop in Lille.
The agricultural rum used comes from Guadeloupe, while the passion fruit is imported from Thailand, Reunion Island or Vietnam (although it's always the same variety). The vanilla used is vanilla tahitensis, more fragrant and aromatic than the rarer Bourbon vanilla.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is immediately taken by an exotic vertigo, provoked by a passion fruit that's truer than life. Picked when fully ripe, it exudes tropical sunshine and the acidity of an almost fermented fruit. The vanilla softens the taste, caressing it gently after the rum has taken a breather.
On the palate, this rhum arrangé has all the makings of a fine fruit juice. The strength of the passion fruit is restrained, as if the fruit had been cooked. The vanilla gently envelops the whole, adding not so much aroma as a pleasant velvetiness.
"A very sweet and exotic arrangé, whose balance is its main quality..."
