Beenleigh Honey Liqueur is an Australian agricultural rum (made from pure cane juice) blended with honey from Kangaroo Island, considered in Australia to be the purest in the world. The result is a gourmet, highly aromatic liqueur.
Nico's tasting notes
In brief: fruit - wood - round - sweet spices
On the nose, rich fruit notes quickly emerge. These fruits are very exotic, with ripe banana for example. The raw wood is toasty on the surface, distilling notes of cherry pit and nuts. This liqueur is heavier in aroma than many rums!
On aeration, a touch of freshness, but above all sweetness and silkiness. The whole is balanced and delightful, with a well-dosed tropical exoticism. A little powdered sugar and even marshmallow add to the mellowness.
The palate is very round and vanilla-like, with a soft, suave, sweet honey. Everything we found on the nose is present in the background, like a discreet set-up that works well behind the scenes.
The finish is vanilla and honey, very sweet and slightly spicy.
"I love this liqueur, which has nothing to envy certain sweet rums..."
