Braud & Quennesson rhum blanc Agricole 50°: Description and customer reviews

Braud & Quennesson is a rum factory located on the Grand Fonds housing site. Open since the end of 2022, this new rum brand takes the names of the two founders of the nearby Le Marin factory.

Joseph Quennesson and Charles Harouard founded the Marin factory at the end of the 19th century, and even in 1869. They were joined a few years later by Charles Jean Braud, who became the majority shareholder. For many years, the Le Marin sugar factory concentrated sugarcane production in the south of Martinique. It then declined in the face of the rise in beet sugar production.
After closing in 1970, the new rum factory on the Grand Fonds housing site in Le Marin was officially launched on November 23, 2022.

Here we offer you the 50° version. This cuvée of white agricultural rum is produced under the supervision of Stéphanie Dufour, the cellar master who has worked at A1710, Dillon and Depaz.
Like HSE and Clément rums, this rum is distilled at the Simon plant.

The microclimate of the cane plantations around the estate is very special. The brix (sweetness level) of the first harvest is quite high, giving the rum a nice intensity.
