Breiz'île Collection Piment Gingembre 32°: Description and customer reviews

Breiz'île Collection Piment Gingembre is halfway between a rhum arrangé and a rhum épicé. Indeed, what brings it closer to a rhum arrangé is that the ingredients are left in the bottle, whereas spiced rums are usually filtered.

It's worth noting that the rum used in the preparation comes from Guadeloupe. It's an agricultural rum, so it's pure cane juice.

The Bretons who devised the recipe suggest extending it with Perrier. How crazy!

Nico's tasting notes

On the nose, the fresh heat of the chili pepper is felt right from the start. You can imagine its hot little seeds, lodged in a fragrant, sweet agricultural rum. Ginger brings its own dose of exoticism, in a natural, pleasant way. The rum then adds its little citrus notes, which inevitably go very well with the ginger.

On the palate, after a gentle attack, the spices start to make themselves felt! Fortunately, it all remains measured, but the spice warms the taste buds abundantly, reinforced by the peppery edge of the ginger. The roundness of the rhum arrangé soothes all this, and the taste of the rum lingers on, with a slightly numb tongue all the same...

"An arrangé that keeps its promises and generously warms you up..."
