This Arawak Piment Maracuja arranged rum is made from Guadeloupe white agricultural rum, chili pepper, passion fruit (another name for maracuja) and cane sugar.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose opens with a lovely balance of chilli and sun-drenched exotic fruit. The chili pepper quickly becomes candied, like a very sweet bell pepper.
The palate starts with a very good taste of chilli, immediately coated by a nice round, sweet wave. But the chilli makes its effect felt on the mid-palate, without excess but with enough power to keep the taste buds busy for a long time. The passion fruit accompanies us into the long finish, beautifully dressing up the spicy notes.
