Bumbu is a rum distilled by WIRD in Barbados, aged in bourbon barrels and macerated with spices from all over the Caribbean.
The Bumbu recipe has been handed down from generation to generation since the 16th century!
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is very sweet, opening with notes of banana candy. This confectionery rum announces a very bubblegum spirit, with peach syrup and a hint of grenadine. Aeration takes us to even sweeter notes of cinnamon and vanilla, with the powderiness of a marshmallow.
The palate is very round and sweet, with a slightly spicy barley-sugar flavor. The banana candy melts into a syrup scented with toasted oak, and develops into roasted notes (coffee).
The finish is still very round, sticky and roasted.
