Cachaça is a typically Brazilian brandy distilled from vesou (fresh sugarcane juice). Produced in the northeastern state of Rio, Thoquino cachaça is a fine expression of South American terroir.
This cachaça is an excellent choice for making the traditional Brazilian cocktail, the caipirinha.

In brief: citrus - cane sugar syrup - floral - peppery - rounded
On the nose, this cachaça makes a strong impression. The power of its alcohol is reinforced by citrus fruit and sugar syrup, like a fresh, tangy cane. It's a cachaça with a confectionery bent, with an extremely floral side that becomes increasingly full-bodied.
With aeration, citrus fruits take center stage. Lemon zest is also present, but without bitterness, more akin to the fragrance of lemongrass. The cane is a little rounder, more peppery too (white pepper), giving it a more natural, finer air.
On the palate, the attack is round and fatty. It begins with sugar syrup, moving gently towards natural cane. The alcohol then carries secondary notes of peppery fermentation, with olive or even vegetable (cabbage).
The finish is marked by the pepperiness of sugarcane bark.

A very French West Indian white rum nose. Expressive but not very intense sugarcane. Notes of citrus and anise.
A slightly lemony palate where the cane is a little more discreet than on the nose. The balance is not perfect. Pepper is also present. The whole is slightly mellow.
An interesting cachaça, without being transcendent.
A warm, medium finish.
Use to give a little character to your cocktails (rather fruity and try it in a mojito).
