Chamarel XO, from the very recent Mauritian distillery in search of constant innovation, is six years old.
Blended from column-distilled rums (60%) and double-distilled rums (40%), it has been aged in French oak barrels.
Chamarel XO has a golden color.
Spice and fruit first appear on the nose, followed by generous notes of vanilla.
On the palate, there's still vanilla, but also coconut and fruits such as fig and plum.
The finish is balanced and dry.
