Founded in 2004, the Cihuatán distillery continues to grow and offer high quality rums.
2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the distillery. For this occasion, the teams have developed the Nantli cuvée. This is a blend of rums that have aged for 20 years in virgin oak barrels. These barrels come directly from the inaugural reserves that were put into aging in 2004.
In the Mayan civilization, Nantli, which can be translated as “Mother” in Nahuatl, is the protective goddess, the sleeping woman. Cihuatán would benefit from her protection to continue perfecting the art of rum.
