Depaz Blanc Cuvée Papao 2020 is a single-varietal white rum. Labeled AOC Martinique, this rum was produced on the slopes of Mount Pelée from the 2020 harvest.
Pure cane juice is obtained from the blue cane grown on the Papao plot, located in the heart of the volcanic terroir of Saint-Pierre. The rum is distilled in a Creole column before undergoing a very slow, fractional reduction.
The Depaz distillery is powered by an ancient steam engine that provides the energy for the cane mills and distillation columns.
