This product is currently on reduction in the O Reizinho white and gold 45° and white agricultural rum 2 bottles offers!
O Reizinho white Millésime 2015 45° rum is a premium rum from Madeira , from the 2015 harvest and bottled in January 2019.
The distiller had kept a vat of this year's white rum, which he had particularly enjoyed. It was then rested and slowly reduced over a period of almost 4 years!
This is a rum made from pure cane juice, distilled in small traditional Portuguese stills. It is limited to 1,200 bottles.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose opens with pure, clear sugarcane juice, with a glimpse of bagasse that floats a pinch of ground pepper. The rum is clean and precise, seemingly fresh, with an almost mineral character. It quickly gains in fullness and begins to reveal its complexity.
With a little aeration, the fruit swells and splashes its juice out of the glass. The green mango is very fresh and the lime is ripe as can be, while the raspberries are beaded with dew. A handful of slightly bitter berries add depth. It's supported by a few sweet spices that eventually lead us to a gourmet cane sugar.
The palate is very well balanced, with an intense attack of fresh sugarcane and a very fatty texture that coats the palate. The cane is then revealed from every angle. The sweet juice begins to ferment and take on aromas of fresh exotic fruit, soft fiber and peppery bark. The round texture doesn't detract from the intensity and mouthfeel, and the sensation of balance lingers.
The finish is long and offers us a sweet cane sugar treat, with a round, mellow vegetal juice that almost tastes of steamed chestnuts.
"This premium version is more precise, more polished. It's driven by a more chiselled philosophy, which makes it much longer on the palate... "

Surprisingly complex for a white rum. Highly recommend!
