Ferroni Liqueur Crixus is one of the first success stories of Maison Ferroni and the Creissauds estate. It's from this estate that the liqueur takes its name, as it was once called "Crixacum", "domain of Crixus". For the record, this Gallic gladiator, who died in 73BC, was at the origin of a major slave rebellion, notably alongside Spartacus.
Crixus liqueur is made exclusively from fresh ingredients. They macerate separately for 4 months, then are blended when extraction is at its peak. Ginger, citrus, vanilla and tonka bean are then harmonized during a 3-month rest.
This liqueur is best enjoyed chilled, over ice, and lends itself perfectly to cocktails.
