Green Spot Montelena is an Irish whiskey distilled at the famous Midleton distillery. The mash is composed of malted and unmalted barley, and undergoes 3 passes through traditional copper pot stills. The first part of the aging process takes place in sherry and bourbon casks. The casks are matured for 7 to 10 years.
This is followed by an original and unique finish in California wine casks. The whiskey spends a further 12 months in casks containing a Napa Valley zinfandel. To be precise, we're talking about the famous Château Montelena.
