This AOC rum from HSE is great for ti-punch, or to enjoy neat in a tulip glass.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is relatively light, with fresh, rather dry cane, more inclined towards bagasse and slightly fermented cane juice. It opens with sweet pepper, followed by fresh fruit and steamed vegetables.
Aeration reveals the typical AOC Martinique character of fresh, peppery cane, both dry and highly aromatic. Fermentation notes realize their fruity potential, and the vesou fills out with ripe pineapple flesh.
The palate is fresh and spicy, yet round and full-bodied. This cane brandy is lively and colorful, with a bright green, intense, herbaceous juice. In the end, this simple, natural character is quite well-balanced.
The finish is round, with flavors of cooked cane juice and a hint of fermented vesuvius.
"A simple, effective white rhum agricole, typical of its tradition..."
