Nico's tasting notes
The rich nose of this rhum agricole immediately sets the tone: it's here to seduce and bewitch. Aromas of exotic, precious woods intermingle with notes of very old wine, for a symphony of tannins whose colors change like the northern lights.
Aeration brings tropical warmth, with an armful of slightly hot, overripe fruit that overwhelms the spirit with its generosity. Woody, spicy notes then take over, returning to a very elegant, distinguished character.
The palate is smooth and extremely tasty, with large armfuls of vanilla spilling milky, fruity notes along the way. Red fruits are at their best in this vegetal milk with stone accents, concentrating in a kind of woody, gently spicy syrup that's simply irresistible.
The finish reveals a hint of saltiness, like buttery caramelized nuts.
"An agricultural rum that gets straight to the point: 100% gourmandise...".
