This Isautier white rum is a traditional molasses rum produced in Réunion . It is particularly appreciated for making your own infused rums.
Molasses is a thick liquid produced during the cane sugar production process. Traditionally, molasses was used to make rum, and today molasses rums make up over 90% of the rum produced worldwide.
Jérémie's tasting notes
On the nose : There are notes of oily flowers, rubber is very present, and some spices that line the base.
On the palate : the attack is frank on a mineral side and the herbaceous notes of molasses which, as it unfolds, bring us a touch of bitterness and the rubbery notes that we perceived on the nose, this time it is cooked.
The finish : it is long and remains on cooked rubber, leather and some spices (sumac, clove).
The profile of this rum is not for all palates, however its frank aromatic palette fits perfectly into the composition of cocktails.
