Les Rhums de Ced Point G Rhum Blanc Agricole 2019 61° is the powerful version of the house's first agricultural blend. We are talking here about an AOC Martinique raw column rum (72%), blended with an agricultural rum from Guadeloupe at 50%. Ced has been working for several years with Malo and Nath, the salt workers of the Millac salt marshes. Together, they developed this new Point G by maturing this pure cane juice rum for 2 months at the bottom of a salt pan.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is that of a fresh, herbaceous, vegetal cane, with a hard, peppery bark. Its fermented juice carries rather dry, mineral notes, ensuring a straightforward, hard and clean character.
Aeration in no way detracts from this rum's frank character, quite the contrary. The peppercorns are solid, infusing a fermenting vesou, acidic and mineral, still full of very fresh cane aromas.
The palate is an explosion of cane, both luminous and fatty, and as intense as it is delicious. The bark pepper takes advantage of the ambient power to assault the taste buds, proving tasty and complementing the cane juice in a very pleasant way.
The finish is spicy but relatively light, and the lime zest leaves its slight bitterness on the tongue.
"A white rum with character that will make wonderful ti'punches...".
