Following the success of the first version of Ti Arrangé Ananas Caramel beurre salé, Cédric Brément is at it again, this time with a base of agricultural rum aged 6 months in whisky barrels!
Nico's tasting notes
The nose opens with aromas of fresh rum and pineapple, with a lively edge that immediately avoids the trap of being too sweet. But it's not all sweetness, and the citrus aromas associated with rhum agricole are beautifully candied.
On the palate, sweet pineapple juice soaked in rum marks a fresh, fruity attack, though round to the touch. Caramel enters the scene and thickens this wave of fruit. It is accompanied by sweet spices slowly extracted from the wood and completely melted.
"An arranged rum at the height of technical skill and mastery..."
