Les Rhums de Ced Ti Graal Ananas Framboise 45,4°: Description and customer reviews

The "Ti Graal" series of Ced's Ti arrangés offers two variations: lemon passion and this Pineapple Raspberry.

What these two expressions have in common is the white rum used: a blend of two unreduced agricultural rums. In fact, for each of these two rums pur jus de canne, the rum was taken directly from the distillation column, without reduction with spring water. This explains the high degree of this rhum arrangé, even after fruit maceration: 45.4°.

One of the two white rums comes from Guadeloupe, the other from Martinique.

The victoria pineapple is grown on Reunion Island, and picked when ripe. Pineapple and raspberries are hand-filled into the bottles.

Nico's tasting notes

The first nose is 100% rhum agricole. It's a Martinique-style rum, with peppery cane fiber and slightly bitter lime zest. There's a hint of bark or bagasse, but it's completely candied. Pineapple and raspberry then intermingle with tantalizing warmth.

The palate is deliciously full and warm. The generosity of the rum expresses itself in a delicious roundness, then the raspberry adds precision. Slightly spicy pineapple coats the whole for a definitively exotic edge, and natural red fruit stands out on the finish.

"A warm, natural feel for this peppy arrangé..."
