Les Rhums de Ced Ti Graal Citron Passion 45,4°: Description and customer reviews

The aromatic power of this "Ti Graal" of Ced's Ti arrangés comes from the agricultural rum used. In fact, it's a blend of two "brut de colonne" agricultural white rums, i.e. recovered directly from the Creole column after distillation. One of the rums comes from Guadeloupe, the other from Martinique.

Limes and passion fruit are harvested by hand when ripe. The process is artisanal. Finally, the cane syrup is produced by an artisan in Nantes, in the Ced Rhums region.

Nico's tasting notes

The nose is powerful and catchy. Far from a candy-like arranged rum, this one is intense and intriguing. There's a fine balance between the bitterness of lemon and passion fruit, and the exoticism of maracuja. The agricultural rum brings the fruit to its peak, and the dynamics are striking.

On the palate, passion fruit still rules. Its unique, terribly exotic flavor is supported by the warmth of the rum, giving the impression of tasting a very ripe fruit. The lemon brings a little acidity and bitterness to the finish, lightening the palate nicely.

"The power of passion fruit and rhum agricole, combined for our greatest pleasure...".

I tasted this rum at 24 degrees Celsius.
I smelled a lemon-passion balance. You can smell them both. You can imagine the lemon juice squeezed into the rum.
As for the taste, right from the start there's a pleasant lemon passion flavor, but it doesn't last long.
Then comes the taste of rum and alcohol (probably due to the temperature).
Very soon comes the bitterness of the lime peel, which is felt more and more and lingers in the mouth.
Try it again with a well-chilled rum.
    Not my favorite from Ced
