The maracuja (or passion fruit) is native to South America. The Creole word comes from the Tupi mara kuya.
After being harvested on the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte Marie, it macerates in Longueteau white agricultural rum for 2 weeks.
The 100% natural ingredients make this punch a real delight.
Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, the passion fruit is ripe and tangy, but above all bursting with sugar and sunshine. The rhum agricole lends it an extra roundness, which comes from the ripe cane itself.
On the palate, the passion fruit juice is reasonably sweet, and above all fresh and natural, enhanced by a very sweet agricultural rum, which also transforms the slight bitterness of the maracuja beans into buttery cookies.
"A great treat, as close as possible to the fruit and the rhum agricole..."
