Mezan Jamaican Barrique XO is the only blend offered by the brand. Comprising rums aged from 4 to 23 years from Jamaica's two distilleries, Hampden and Monymusk, this blend is produced in a limited edition of just 5,000.
The cellar master pays particular attention to the maturation period of each rum. Both the aromatic potential and the quantity of ester are taken into account to create an irreproachable product. After blending, Mezan Jamaican Barrique XO is put back into a barrel for a while to harmonize the blend.
Laurent's tasting notes
Pale gold in color.
On the nose, we're definitely in Jamaica, but with something gourmand about it, a sort of "glue, ether and praline" mix. Less intense than other Jamaicans, but still typical of the country.
On the palate, the attack is supple (but not sweet), and the alcohol is discreet. The aromas detected on the nose are found in a pleasant blend. Without being powerful, this rum is no less complex.
The finish, which is quite long, is another example of Jamaica, but with an extra touch of sweetness.
"A good introduction to the powerful, intense aromas of Jamaica."

Incomparable taste

A very nice rum to enter the Jamaican universe! A very pleasant nose and an accessible sweetness on the palate! Easily drunk neat or as a ti punch! It may be a little light for lovers of heavy Jamaican rums.

Light, volatile, nothing extraordinary

Good value for money!

A fabulous nose worthy of a great XO. A powerful attack and round length make this an excellent tasting rum. To discover
