Negrita White Signature is a blend of light, column-distilled molasses rums. Negrita is a very old French company, with its roots in the mid-19th century. It was one of the largest traders in the port of Bordeaux, and continues to offer Caribbean blends whose recipes have evolved over time.
This rum is primarily intended for cocktails like the mojito, or any other long drink.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is that of a very light, almost neutral rum, like a cane vodka. A few slightly fruity notes emerge, however. In this case, we're dealing with the syrup of a box of fruit to which a spoonful of brine or vinegar has been added.
Aeration brings us other lightly fruity notes, in a profile as light as ever. We come across lychees with their skins, and fresh dates.
The palate is round and faithful to the nose, offering very light flavors, ideal for discreet integration into a cocktail. The mid-palate sees a surprising arrival of fresh cane, with a hint of peppery bagasse.
The finish is very light, leaving only a slightly ethereal impression.
