Poire Williams d'Exception is a fruit brandy produced by the Jos Nusbaumer artisanal distillery, located in Steige, Alsace , in the heart of the Vosges Mountains. This vintage belongs to the Exceptional brandy range, which showcases the distillery's expertise and specific production methods.
Its unique characteristic lies in the use of yellow and red Williams pears . The fruit is macerated for three weeks in Williams pear brandy from the distillery, before being distilled again . This singular production method allows for the showcasing of different pear varieties within the same batch.
After distillation, the eau-de-vie is adjusted to its final strength of 43% ABV using spring water from Steige, naturally filtered through the schist rocks of the Vosges Mountains. Cold filtration completes the production process.
The amber glass bottle protects the spirit from light. It is also adorned with a hand-applied wax medallion, crafted in the distillery's workshops, highlighting the distinctive character of this vintage.
