A total of 1,182 bottles were bottled in August 2022. This blend has not been filtered, and the color is natural.
Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, Jamaica's typical solvent makes its mark, imbued with generous floral and fruity notes. Candied lemon peel then begins to bring a lovely mellow thickness, before being joined by creamy, fermentative notes.
With aeration, this tendency towards mellowness and gourmandise is confirmed and amplified. The rum is now filled with a fruity, tropical air, so thick you could slice it. The grocer's stall is not far away, as evidenced by the hints of spicy olives that enrich this exotic profile.
On the palate, a skilful blend of all these aromas is achieved, in a pleasant, smooth harmony. There's relief, of course, with exuberant exoticism, concentrated fruit juices and spicy pits. The vegetal side is not to be outdone, with the resinous rosemary adding intensity and the light woodiness at times evoking licorice or brown sugar.
The finish is rather pastry-like, with dark raisins, dried fruit, prune and almond.
"A well-composed blend that embraces all the Jamaican tradition in a velvety rum..."
