Old Rosemont No. 3 rum comes from the blend of three different rums from the Montreal distillery.
The blend, 3 years old, consists of the following rums:
- a fancy molasses rum aged in French oak barrels,
- a cane sugar rum aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels,
- a green molasses rum aged in American oak barrels.
As a reminder, fancy molasses is the first that we obtain during the refining of cane sugar. Green molasses is what we get at the end of the process.
All the rums have benefited from double distillation in Charente stills.
