Saint James Single Cask 1999 43°: Description and customer reviews

Each bottle of Saint James Single Barrel 1999 contains rum from a single cask.

Laurent's tasting notes

Its color is somewhere between gold and amber.

On the nose, it's primarily spices that stand out. Then come banana and almond, quickly overtaken by roasted and woody aromas. A mineral note remains in the background.

On the palate, sweet spices (above all nutmeg) lead the way, but the woodiness is also present and competes for the spotlight.

The finish is long. The finish is warm and very pleasant. The wood and sweet spices remain on the palate for some time. But this finish is not dry: it's rather greedy in a way.

    A wonderful year!

  2. Thierry DUFOUR

On the palate, this Saint-James Single Cask 1999 highlights all its aromas with a well-presented Le boisé. The aroma lingers on the palate, without aggressiveness, highlighting its .ten years of aging. One of the finest Vieux Martiniquais.

  3. Pierre Palgen

A regular at Clément 1976, this one's not bad at all
