This Single Malt is made from a blend of whiskies aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, in proportions of 65% and 35% respectively. This combination brings balance and complexity to the expression.
The distillery perpetuates traditional production methods: the barley is malted on site, then partially dried over a peat fire, imparting a subtle smoky dimension to the whisky. The stills are heated over an open flame, and the whisky undergoes a double and a half distillation, a unique process in which the tails of the distillation are redistilled before being reintegrated into the heart of the still.
All of these traditional methods give this Single Malt a rich and distinctive personality.
