This "elegant - dried fruit" blend is the result of a combination of rums from Jamaica and Guyana, created by the inimitable Peter Holland.
Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, we're greeted by a funky, very fruity and organic profile. The aromatic concentration is typical of the Jamaican style, with extremely ripe exotic fruits. This profile then quickly evolves into an equally fruity, but slightly more coppery style, reminiscent of Port Mourant.
Aeration calms the ardor of this very tropical, heavily aromatic rum. It brings a certain balance that tends towards the pastry, with more candied, dried fruits.
The palate is very smooth and balanced, with exotic fruits bouncing like soft bubbles on the palate. The hint of copper turns to marzipan, then is joined by prunes and cherries.
The finish is as gourmand as ever, and the rum now leans towards orange-peel gingerbread.
