Zubrowka Bison Grass is a vodka from Poland, flavored with bison grass.
After 7 distillations, a few sprigs of this herb, harvested in the Bialowieza forest, are placed in the bottle.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is very light, giving an impression of sweetness emanating from a sort of candied vegetable. This roundness brings a soft, comfortable sensation, like soft nougat or fresh modeling clay.
Aeration reveals soft floral notes and aromas of melted sugar. The mellow nuances become almost pastry-like, with blanched almonds and a hint of putty.
The palate is even more pastry-like than the nose, and the vegetal, candied nuances are now vanilla-flavored and sprinkled with tonka bean. For connoisseurs of cachaça, it's easy to believe in the influence of an umburana cask.
The finish is a little lighter and peppery, but the sweet spices remain on the palate for a long time.
"A gourmet, pastry-like vodka, with accents of sweet spices and candied botanicals..."
