Hellyers Road
Hellyers Road is an Australian distillery located in northern Tasmania, near the town of Burnie.
Its name refers to the British explorer Henry Hellyer , who was one of the first explorers and cartographers of Tasmania in 1825. Henry Hellyer was then an employee (chief engineer) of Van Diemen's Land Company.
Hellyers Road was launched in 1999. It is owned by Betta Milk, a large dairy cooperative (the second largest in Tasmania). It has a large production capacity, making it one of Australia's most prominent distilleries.
The official range includes both peated and unpeated versions. These include theOriginal "Roaring 40s", the 10-Year-Old, Le Pinot Noir, Slightly Peated and Peated.
In addition, rarer limited editions have recently appeared, such as theHellyers Road 2004 14-year-old Peated The Chronicles. Read less
