Islay Mist (Islay Mist) is a brand of blended of Scottish whiskies created in 1922. It was Lord Margadale, who, to to celebrate his 21st birthday, felt that Laphroaig was too powerfully peaty to please most of his guests. So he decided to blend it with with malts softer malts such as Glenlivet. D'other malts Lowlands malts were also selected, as well as whiskies whiskies.

This blend has endured to the present day, and the brand is now owned by MacDuff International. The raison d'être of these whiskies is to offer a well-balanced discovery, as well as affordable value for money. Traditionally matured in bourbon casks, blends can also be finished in sherry casks.

The range includes theOriginal Peated Blend, the Peated Reserve, as well as the Islay Mist 10, 12 and 17 year olds. The latter is the least peaty and most mature of the collection. Read less
