Mater Rum
Mater Rum is a Sicilian rum brand launched in 2021 at the same time as the Alma distillery.
At the head of this project we find Hugo Gallardo, his wife, and Alex, a friend of the couple. It was in 2019, with the idea of changing their lives, that they embarked on the adventure and opened a rum distillery together.
The entire process is controlled by the distillery, from growing the cane to bottling the rum.
The adventure begins with three references: a rum made from the yellow sugar cane variety, one from purple cane and a blend of the two cane varieties .
