Música e Grogue was born in 2017 from the desire to introduce Europe to Cape Verde's famous grogue, the local artisanal rum made from pure cane juice.

Tarrafal is a fishing and farming village on Santo Antão, one of the 9 islands of Cape Verde.

This grogue comes from 2 types of local sugar cane: cana prêta and cana riscada.
