Providencia Rum

Providencia Rum is a brand of the English group Mayfair Brands Limited.

They named the brand after a ship that sank off the coast of Florida and Palm Beach.
The cargo, loaded in the Caribbean and Cuba in particular, was seized by the captain and crew following a deliberate shipwreck, as legend has it.
In the Providencia's holds were 20,000 coconuts, rum and cigars bound for Spain.

The colonists would have planted coconuts to survive thanks to the cultivation of coconut palms. Read less
