Angostura 7 ans is a rum made from a blend of several vintages aged between 7 and 10 years. It is aged in barrels first used for bourbon.
Here, the bottle is accompanied by the ingredients needed to prepare an "old fashioned" (2 Angostura mini-bitters, sugar cane syrup and a citrus zester).
Here's the recipe:
- first place a few ice cubes at the bottom of the glass
- pour in 3 teaspoons of cane syrup, then the same amount of Angostura 7-year-old rum
- add 3 drops of Angostura bitter, and a zest of orange
- mix and enjoy!
Tasting notes
Angostura Butterfly 7 ans is intensely amber in color, the fruit of long years of maturation.
Its nose, marked by notes of caramel and flambéed banana, exudes remarkable power and generosity.
The suave character of the attack on the palate gives way to a beautiful balance and roundness that will seduce connoisseurs. Caramel is confirmed, and we also taste exotic fruits and sweet banana notes.
The finish is rather spicy.
