Ardbeg Bizarre BQ 50,9°: Description and customer reviews

Bizarre BQ is Ardbeg's first whisky inspired by the world and aromas of barbecue. This single malt scotch whisky from the Isle of Islay was concocted by Dr Bill Lumsden, Ardbeg's master distiller, and Christian Stevenson, known on social networks as DJ BBQ.

Just as when you want to grill meat, fire is the essential element in the making of this barbecue-inspired whisky. The three types of cask selected for this cuvée have been specially "grilled" to develop specific aromas. They include twice-burned oak casks, ex-Sherry Pedro Ximenez casks and, finally, "barbecue" casks developed by the distillery. The latter are charred on an old-fashioned brazier.
