Why Scorch? Legend has it that a dragon stayed in the distillery's Warehouse 3. His hot breath is said to be the source of the burning, charred flavors of this limited-edition whisky.
Ardbeg Scorch is aged in old Bourbon casks that have been heavily tapped, or even charred. As for the label, it illustrates the legend. It features everything from the famous dragon to Geoffroy de la Main Blanche (a famous knight linked to Ardbeg history), not forgetting Shortie, the distillery's mascot.
