Nico's tasting notes
The nose opens with a soft, round, mellow cane, adorned with a layer of blond tobacco, vanilla and caramel. It still carries the aromas of its fresh juice, spiked with sweet pepper and citrus zest.
Aeration begins to cook our cane juice, which turns into a sweet honey with vegetal nuances. The vesou gradually becomes raw sugar, one of those fatty unrefined sugars with hints of vanilla and caramel.
The palate first returns to basics, with a savory cane juice bursting with sugar, herbaceous notes and lime zest. This is followed by a lovely roundness that gradually coats the palate, with vanilla, sweet almonds, sage and a very savory side, with lots of umami.
The finish reminds us of cane sugar, quite simply, and always greedily.
"A very gourmand young rum, tender and flavorful, where the cane juice is just cooked..."
