To mark its 160th anniversary, the Barbancourt distillery presents this limited edition.
The rum has benefited from additional aging compared to the Barbancourt 5-Star.
After 8 years in Limousin oak barrels, it was transferred to new French oak barrels, where it spent a further 6 months.
You can taste the 2 thanks to our samples and see the benefit of this finish in terms of complexity and gourmandise.

Yoann's tasting notes
The nose of this rum is lively and rather dry. The alcohol remains present but relatively mild. Notes of vanilla escape from the glass to reach our nostrils. They are accompanied by notes of nuts such as almonds or walnuts. A floral veil appears to enrich this gourmet nose.
The entry into the mouth is quite supple. The alcohol does not bother and leaves room for a lot of sweetness. The rum leaves a fatty film in the mouth and confirms its roundness. The vanilla notes are quickly chased away by a creamy caramel. A rather shy orange marmalade appears. A certain balance persists in the mouth.
The finish is long and persistent with creamy caramel as well as light notes of candied prunes.
